Standard D with cygnet horn  SOLD

Standard D with cygnet_1

Close inspection of the horn reveals that it is not, in fact, a reproduction but a repainted original. The clue lying partly in the slight deformities under the paint in the metal of the back-crook and partly in the precision manufacture of the clip holding the horn halves together; the reproductions are not as finely made as the real thing.
