Machines for Restoration

At any one time I have a dozen or so machines in stock which are not economic to have restored professionally before offering for sale. In the past I have tended to let them 'sit' awaiting a visitor to take an interest in them!

Given the time and care it takes for me to pack machines in general, I would prefer personal inspection and collection for these.

Columbia BM topworks Columbia BM remains £300

This machine had the sad fate of belonging to a dabbler who replaced the loudspeaking reproducer and carriage to fit...an electric pickup! Anyone will need the carriage and all the hardware that leads to it. Having said that- what remains for the most part sparkles and anyone with a rough BM (and I have seen several in the past) could make a fine machine from a marriage.

Columbia BM motor A good motor. Original winder.

Columbia BM case front The case has been wire-wooled and waxed. The transfer has survived well. Other case issues here...

Columbia BM winding end Winding-end fine.

Columbia BM damaged end There is some damage to lid surround where the securing 'tongue' has broken loose at some me in the past.

Triumph topworks  Triumph Model A £450

TRiumph case

Working, with 2+4 minute gearing and overhead carriage (no reproducer). The case has an old repaired crack in the rear left base upright and the top back joint of the motor-surround. The pointer from the speed control has been crudely replaced but luckily tales no part in its function!

(Back on the market as the would-be customer took a shine to another machine!).
